Tengrinews.kz – Superstar singer Nicole Scherzinger reached out to Kazakhstani figure skater Sofya Samodelkina after her performance at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy.
The former Pussycat Dolls lead vocalist, whose performance of a song from the musical Sunset Boulevard by Andrew Lloyd Webber was used by Sofya in her free program, was impressed by the Kazakhstan skater's routine.

"Thank you to Sofya Samodelkina of Kazakhstan for competing with Sunset Boulevard at the 2026 Olympics," Scherzinger posted on social media.

Sofya responded emotionally, expressing her admiration in the comments under the post.

"Oh my God! Thank you for the beautiful music! I love you," Sofya wrote.

It's worth noting that Sofya Samodelkina made it into the top 10 on her first-ever Olympic appearance and set a new personal record with her program to Webber's music.
