Pakistan’s Prime Minister congratulated Tokayev on the successful referendum

The Prime Minister of Pakistan congratulated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the successful holding of the national referendum on the adoption of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Shehbaz Sharif noted the historic significance of this event, aimed at further strengthening the system of public administration, institutional stability, and ensuring the well-being of citizens.

The Prime Minister of Pakistan emphasized that the results of the nationwide vote reflect the high level of support among the Kazakh people for Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s course toward the country’s political and socio-economic modernization.

The Head of State thanked the Prime Minister of Pakistan for his congratulations and for his high assessment of the referendum results.

The interlocutors also expressed great satisfaction with the positive dynamics of the Kazakh-Pakistani strategic partnership. In this context, they discussed the implementation of the agreements reached following Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s state visit to Pakistan in February of this year.

The two sides also exchanged views on current regional and international issues.
