Blizzard Entertainment has appointed its first Vice President, Head of Culture to help make its World of Warcraft company have an even more "diverse as well as equitable and open-minded workplace."
Jessica Martinez has joined Blizzard to assist in the effort for workers to feel they are able to "learn about, grow and bring their very best personal selves to work," Blizzard said in a news post.
Martinez used to work at The Walt Disney Company for more than 14 years. He was its Chief of Staff and strategic consultant in the Parks & Resorts division.
"Jessica And the Blizzard leadership team will be responsible for growing and implementing our strategy for culture by ensuring alignment across all functions and teams in addition to reorganizing the learning and talent development programs," the company said in an announcement.
Martinez stated in her own statement "When you create a "buy WoTLK Gold" setting where teams feel safe and valued, as well as working together toward a shared purpose Everyone is happy- the employees, the athletes, and the business."
