Armenia`s law-enforcement and security authorities issue warning to Tavush for Motherland movement 

ArmInfo. The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs issued separate statements in which they issued a warning to participants in the "Tavush in the name of the Motherland" movement.

The NSS statement, in particular, says: "The National Security Service of Armenia, as part of its function of maintaining constitutional order, calls on supporters of the Tavush in the name of the Motherland movement, which began on May 4, 2024, to respect the rule of law and not oppose law and order.

Emphasizing the mission of the National Security Service to protect the constitutional order from any attacks, we declare that any behavior that threatens the constitutional order will be neutralized using the full range of tools established by law>.

The statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs notes that the police are consistently performing and will continue to perform the functions assigned to them by law to ensure public order and the safety of citizens.

"We urge the participants and organizers of today's meeting to refrain from actions aimed at disturbing public order, respect the rights of fellow citizens and obey the legal demands of police officers ensuring public order. The Republic of Armenia is a legal country, and any illegal manifestation will be punishable by the relevant criminal legislation," added the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

Today at 4:00pm a national rally of the "Tavush in the name of the Motherland" movement will be held on Republic Square in the center of Yerevan. Participants in the movement oppose the unilateral concessions of the current authorities of Armenia and demand an end to the illegal delimitation begun in Tavush.
