She presents a condition to Abhira, stating that if she lies in court about being forcefully married to Armaan and obtains a divorce, she promises to assist her in saving Madhav and Vidya's deteriorating marriage. Tonight's episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai begins with Dadisa offering money to Abhira (Samridhii) and urging her to divorce Armaan (Rohit Purohit). She explains to Abhira that if she fabricates in court that she was forcibly married to Armaan, she will aid her in saving Madhav and Vidya's marriage. Abhira experiences a mental breakdown as she struggles to decide what to do. Eventually, she decides to sacrifice her love and states in court that she was forcefully married to Armaan. Hearing Abhira's lie, Armaan fumes in anger. He demands Abhira to answer why she lied in court, but Abhira remains silent. In his rage, Armaan pours an entire jug of water on Abhira.

Abhira breaks down, but she cannot reveal the truth to Armaan. Dadisa then tells Armaan that as Abhira and his divorce is almost finalized, there's no reason for Abhira to wear the mangalsutra. She orders him to remove it from her neck, and as Armaan is unable to do so, Dadisa instructs Armaan to break the mangalsutra, which he does. Dadisa then tells Abhira to leave the house immediately as she is no longer Armaan's wife and hence, there's no reason for her to stay in the Poddar house.
