Anupamaa: Gaurav Sharma talks about working with Rupali Ganguly; reveals why it was awkward for him on the first day [Exclusive]

Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna starrer Anupamaa is winning hearts. The show is the TRP topper and recently, we heard of Aashish Mehrotra quitting the show. Aashish played the role of Paritosh Shah aka Toshu and he has left the show. The news came as a shock for fans and people started speculating about Toshu's future in the show. Many thought that the character would die while some thought some new actor will be entering the show. Well, soon we came to know about Gaurav Sharma replacing Aashish Mehrotra in the show. He was earlier seen in Samridhii Shukla starrer Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai as Yuvraj.

Gaurav has entered Anupamaa and is doing a great job as Toshu. There are a lot of people who have loved the new Toshu and are all praise for his work. Gaurav spoke to BollywoodLife about his experience working with Rupali Ganguly and others. He also spoke about how was his first day on the sets of Anupamaa.

Gaurav Sharma talks about the drama between Anupamaa and Toshu ahead

He said he has been shooting for the show since four days and is meeting the team. He said, "I have already done scenes with Rupali ji and Nidhi. I will meet all the other stars from the Shah family soon. I met all the directors and have shot with mostly all of them. It is very rare that you get to shoot with all the directors on the set in just few days. I got everyone's perspectives. I spoke to them about the character and took advice from everyone."

"We are shooting some amazing sequences. There is a lot of drama ahead. If you have seen the recent episodes, you will know that Toshu has been offered the job of a waiter by his mother. However, Toshu is egoistic as he is thinking how can his mother offer the job of a waiter to a Gold medalist in MBA. So, it will be the ego game which will be very interesting, "he added.

Gaurav talks about working with Rupali Ganguly

He further spoke about working with Rupali Ganguly and said, "It has just been 3-4 days so there is no such strong bond yet but as actors we discuss and do scenes. She is a senior actor and has been doing this show for more than four years. If she has something to share while doing the scenes, I take it and add to my work. It is always good to have a senior actor as you get some good guidance. Also, she has worked with Aashish Mehrotra so whenever I don't understand some things she helps me out."

Gaurav also revealed that the first day was also a bit awkward. He shared, "It is a bit awkward. On the first day when I came to the sets it was very awkward. I mean a prominent character getting replaced and a new person coming in becomes a bit different. I met the actors directly in the scenes and before that I never met them so their reaction used be like 'arey ye kaun aa gaya'. It is a big of a challenge but I am sure it will be fun. It is all on the audience that they should accept me. Until now, I have read only positive things. "
