The upcoming mythological film will star Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi as Lord Rama and Maa Sita. Yash will play the role of Ravana in the magnum opus and fans are already excited to watch his never-before-seen avatar.

Ramayana: Yash to wear real gold outfits?

According to the latest report by IANS, Yash will be wearing real gold outfits to play the role of Raavan in Ramayana. Yes, you read that right! The makers will make Yash wear actual gold as Raavan was the king of Lanka and it was a golden province during that era. As per the makers, wearing clothes made of real gold in the film will bring the benevolence of Ravana to life.

Moreover, there are reports, Yash will be undergoing a massive physical transformation for his role will leave everyone shocked. As per reports, Yash will gain 15 kgs for his character Raavan and is currently preparing for the same.

Namit Malhotra's production company Prime Focus Studios has joined hands with Yash's Monster Mind Creations to create this upcoming mythological tale. As per Pinkvilla reports, Ramayana is not a trilogy but a 2-part saga. The makers will film both parts in 350-day shoot schedule with an extended star cast as well as their solo sequences. Ramayana will reportedly be released within one year.
