Armenia`s lawyers start protests
ArmInfo. On May 21, 2024, lawyers in Armenia begin protests. This is stated in the message of the RA Chamber of Lawyers.
According to the source, public defenders will not provide services in the RA state bodies, including in the courts and in the preliminary investigation bodies. They demand that amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia be returned for revision, protesting against the initiative proposed by the Government of the Republic of Armenia to limit the opportunities for engaging in notarial, lawyering and organizing lotteries in the turnover tax system.
At the plenary session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, which starts on May 21, it is planned to discuss the draft law on introducing amendments and additions to the Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia.
