Belgorod residents without registration denied compensation for destroyed home

Residents of a destroyed home in Belgorod did not receive any payouts due to their lack of registration. Vyacheslav Gladkov, the head of the region, called this measure 'evident,' as it was based on a decree by the local government. The governor promised to consider all applications and aid low-income families. Residents without registration are preparing a collective lawsuit, according to the channel ‘Belgorod – Breaking.’

Yulia D. owns two apartments in the building on Shchors Street, where an entire entrance collapsed during a missile threat. Neither she nor her family members were registered in these apartments, and therefore are not eligible for payouts. They were offered temporary accommodation while the building is being rebuilt, but only 10,000 rubles per month would be compensated.

Yulia complained to 'Fonar' that she would have to rent an apartment for at least two years. Officials explained that there are no materials for rebuilding the house, as the organization that constructed it no longer exists.

The woman and her children have not yet found alternative accommodation. She asked the authorities to provide her with vouchers for an apartment of a similar size. However, these vouchers are based on the old real estate developer’s prices, and the governor has already warned affected citizens that they will not be able to purchase anything with this amount.
