Recently, Gaurav Khanna's wife Akanksha Chamola came under the radar of trolls as she dropped a reel with a kitten. The video had her taking about how kittens are more fun and better than human children. The reason was that one can kiss and cuddle with a kitten all day and when the kittens start scratching or biting, they can simply be thrown anywhere. This video irked many and it was linked to animal abuse. Now, Kavita Kaushik has come out in support of her.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Kavita Kaushik supported Akanksha Chamola and called her an animal lover. She said that Akanksha may have made a silly video but she is an animal lover who has adopted strays and also helped furry parents. They live in the same building and Kavita mentioned that Akanksha has injured many times while trying to help animals. "The worst we can do is to call a kind person unkind," she wrote further.

Apart from Kavita Kaushik, Rupali Ganguly too commented on the incident. Rupali who plays Anupamaa in the TV serial got dragged in into the controversy as a social media user remarked that she paid the PR team to unleash hate of co-star Gaurav Khanna's wife Akanksha. However, Rupali reacted to the post asking the user to meet her in person and ask the same question. She also wrote a note about how fans should not drag in the families in social media wars.
