No successful student should go unnoticed in Armenia - premier
ArmInfo. In Armenia, no successful student should go unnoticed. RA Prime Minister Nikol
Pashinyan stated this during a meeting with students of Sisian High
School.
According to him, discussions are currently underway to give this
issue an institutional character. The position of the Armenian
government is that no successful student should be left out of the
education system. Even today, students can apply to the Office of the
Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia with a corresponding
application, and if the average grade exceeds the established
standard, then funding is available for the student.
Pashinyan emphasized that the Cabinet of Ministers also funds
scholarships for students studying at prestigious foreign
universities. There is a case where a student entered the University
of Berkeley and asked to pay tuition for the first semester. However,
the amount for three semesters has already been paid. "There are
students who are simply present at universities, and there are those
who actually go to receive an education, and it is precisely this
category of citizens that the government provides assistance. But
here it is very important that students who graduate from the
university return to the country and apply their knowledge at home,"
Armenia's premier said.
