Armenian FM highlights importance of peace at meeting with Slovenian  counterpart 

ArmInfo. Armenian FM Ararat Mirzoyan and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon discussed bilateral agenda and regional issues. 


The RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports this. The parties touched upon ensuring the continuation of dialogue on key issues of mutual interest. An exchange of thoughts took place on regional security issues, taking into account the fact that Slovenia is currently a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.


Minister Mirzoyan presented the latest developments in the process of regulating relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of concluding a peace treaty. Mirzoyan expressed gratitude that, as part of the support program, for the third time this year, Slovenia accepted children displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. In the context of the situation in the Middle East, the ministers mentioned the recognition by Slovenia and Armenia of the State of Palestine last month in accordance with the two-state principle.
