Mher Grigoryan expresses his gratitude to US for its continuous  support to government programs

ArmInfo.Armenia reaffirms its commitment to the democratic values shared with the United States, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said at an event organized to mark the Independence Day of the United States of America.

As reported by the Deputy Prime Minister's office, in his congratulatory speech on behalf of the Government, Grigoryan wished peace, prosperity and progress to the people of the United States of America.

"This special day provides an opportunity to re-evaluate the ideas of democracy that the Founding Fathers laid down as the basis for the establishment of the United States of America. And today we celebrate this significant day with our American friends, reaffirming Armenia's commitment to these common democratic values," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

Mher Grigoryan expressed his gratitude to the United States for its continued support for the reform program of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, as well as for the development of the Armenian economy and its sustainability.

"Peace is one of the most important prerequisites for the establishment of a stable democracy. The establishment of a stable and lasting peace in the region is a priority for the Armenian government. In this context, we highly appreciate the consistent efforts of the American side to implement the peace agenda.  We also emphasize the importance of the targeted statements by the United States supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
