YEREVAN, July 4. /ARKA/. The Armenian government approved the extension of the agreement with the US government on cooperation in countering the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction on Thursday.

The agreement will be valid until November 24, 2030. The US government will provide Armenia with equipment, materials, and technologies that will help prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and will conduct staff training.

The agreement requires the Armenian government to facilitate the entry and exit of US government representatives and manage the movement of necessary materials. Each side will appoint agencies to implement the agreement and make specific arrangements.

The Armenian government also agrees not to transfer ownership of the equipment or materials to third parties without written consent from the US and to ensure their security.
