As reported by Sky Sport 24, Antonio Conte called Alessandro Buongiorno to ensure clarity regarding his situation and his move to Napoli, given Inter’s quick attempt to swoop in.

The Torino defender has, however, decided to continue negotiations with Napoli.

“Conte’s call was vital in making me feel at ease with my decision to join Napoli,” Buongiorno reportedly said during an interview with Sky Sport 24.

Napoli appears poised to secure the defender for a reported fee of €35 million.
