U.S. Embassy reliable partner - RA Prosecutor General 

ArmInfo. The US Embassy is a reliable partner of the Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia, 

cooperation with which is carried out in various areas, including the development and improvement of professional knowledge and skills of prosecutors. RA Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan stated this on 

July 9, receiving the US Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien.

According to the press service of the supervisory authority, during 

the meeting the Prosecutor General of the Republic referred to the 

decision of the competent US court in the framework of a criminal 

case initiated in Armenia as effective cooperation.

By decision of an American court, an agreement was concluded on the 

confiscation and sale of a private house in Los Angeles, owned by the 

family of the former Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia 

Gagik Khachatryan. The house is considered property of criminal 

origin. There is an intention to sell it at the highest market price.

In this context, Anna Vardapetyan thanked all partners and US 

authorities for their efforts and effective interaction aimed at 

strengthening public confidence in justice.

The Attorney General and the US Ambassador, among other issues of 

mutual interest, touched upon the development of cooperation in the 

field of mutual legal assistance and deepening cooperation in the 

areas of confiscation of property of illegal origin and the fight 

against cybercrime.
