Armenian defense minister, Iranian ambassador discuss regional  security 

ArmInfo.On July 9, RA Defense Minister Suren Papikyan received the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia 

Mehdi Sobhani.

According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Defense, the 

newly appointed military attache of the Iranian Embassy in Armenia, 

Colonel Mohammad Najafi, also took part in the meeting.

Papikyan congratulated the newly appointed military attache and 

wished him success in his important mission.

Suren Papikyan thanked former military attache Colonel Bakhman 

Sadeghin for the fruitful cooperation.  During the meeting, issues 

related to Armenian-Iranian defense cooperation, as well as regional 

security, were discussed.
