Lakshya talks about how he dealt with his first two movies getting shelved.

Actor Lakshya is enjoying all the praise coming for his performance and latest release, Kill. The actor made a smashing Bollywood debut with the action thriller that is high on violence and emotions. Directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, the film is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment. However, before Bhat's film, the actor had signed two movies with Dharma, Dostana 2 and Bedhadak. The former was going to be his debut Hindi film. In 2021, Dharma Productions announced that they had shelved Dostana 2, starring Lakshya, Janhvi Kapoor, and Kartik Aaryan, and planned to recast the actors. Later in 2022, Karan's production house announced Bedhadak, a romantic movie with him and Shanaya Kapoor. Regrettably, even that romantic comedy faced cancellation. It can be quite disheartening to have two movies shelved back-to-back. So, how did Lakshya handle it? The actor has now opened up.

In an interview with News18, the Kill star said that his first two movies didn't work out for him. He wasn't sure if Bedhadak would happen or not. Somewhere, Lakshya was losing confidence as an actor and human being. The actor stated that his morale was shaking and had gone down. It's not like the actor had given up, but he constantly wondered what's next for him.

Further, Lakshya added that when Dostana 2 and Bedhadak didn't happen, he didn't feel underconfident, as that's a very strong word. However, the movies not coming to life affected him deep down, and he desperately needed a new film; he needed work. The actor kept hearing that he would make his debut in the movies, but he wasn't sure how things would pan out for him.

When asked how the experience of working with Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor in Dostana 2 was, Lakshya replied that he was sweating as he felt the pressure of being on a Dharma movie set. The Kill actor remembers having a long shot walking where he didn't have to say anything, but he was nervous. Lakshya added that he has done 600 episodes on television and knows how to face a camera or walk. However, he recalls attempting to perfect his walking technique in the movie to achieve a specific gait for the character. The actor was worried that he would trip.

Meanwhile, Kill has received a great response from both critics and the audience. The film also stars Raghav Juyal and Tanya Maniktala. Even before the film's release, Liongate and 87Eleven Entertainment, the makers of John Wick, secured the rights to remake the action thriller in English.
