In an appearance on Koffee With Karan, Jaya Bachchan was all praise for Aishwarya and even revealed one quality that she loves of her bahu. Jaya Bachchan shared that even though Aishwarya is a big star herself but she has never seen her bahu push herself out there. Jaya Bachchan shared that she likes the quality where Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stands behind, is quiet, listens and is taking it all in. "And another beautiful thing is that she has fitted in so well in the family. She knows who are our good friends," Jaya Bachchan added. When Karan Johar suggested that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the 'Ideal Mrs Abhishek Bachchan', Jaya Bachchan proudly says 'I think so'.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai tied the knot in the year 2007. It was one grand wedding with who's who from the industry attending the big wedding. They welcomed their daughter Aaradhya in 2011. However, for some time now, there have been rumours that there is trouble in their paradise. Though at the Ambani wedding they arrived separately, a picture went viral from the celebration that showed them sitting together. Aaradhya Bachchan sat next to them. Abhishek Bachchan received some backlash on social media for not posing along with his wife.
