Hero Xpulse 210: Spy Shots Reveal Potential Performance Boost with Karizma XMR Engine

Hero MotoCorp has been spotted testing a promising new machine – the Hero Xpulse 210. This ADV (Adventure Touring) motorcycle appears to borrow the heart of its sibling, the Hero Karizma XMR, hinting at a significant performance upgrade (Images courtesy: MotorOctane).

Karizma XMR’s Engine

The key takeaway from these MotorOctane spy shots lies in the engine. The Xpulse 210’s engine casing resembles the 210cc, liquid-cooled unit in the Karizma XMR. This powerplant produces 25.5 PS and 20.4 Nm, a substantial leap from the current Xpulse’s offering. We expect Hero to adjust the gearing and sprocket setup to optimize performance for off-road adventure riding.

Adventure-Ready Design Elements

The Xpulse 210 showcases a design tailored for tackling tough terrain. A high-rise front fender, a single-piece seat, and an upright riding posture prioritize comfort and control. Feature highlights include a round LED headlight with a large windscreen, braced handlebars, and a likely LCD instrument console with potential turn-by-turn navigation. The fuel tank appears narrower and taller than the current Xpulse, potentially offering increased range.

Touring Potential and Feature Inclusions

The latest spy shots reveal additional details. Aerodynamic tank shrouds and a larger fuel tank suggest an emphasis on touring capabilities. Hero might be testing aftermarket panniers, or these could be their offering launched alongside the Xpulse 210. Essential ADV features like a tall windscreen, knuckle guards, a rear luggage rack, a front beak, and high ground clearance are all present.

The Xpulse 210 is expected to replace the existing Xpulse 200 4V as Hero’s sub-210cc adventure offering. With a likely price tag of around Rs 1.9 lakh (ex-showroom).
