There was a time when Kareena Kapoor Khan acted in a lot of movies in a year. As reported by The Week, in her career spanning 24 years, the Ra One star has worked in at least 70 movies. Bebo was everywhere. She has given blockbusters, hits, and even flops. While she celebrated her success, the flops didn't bog her down. Kareena is also considered one of the few female stars to have such a long acting career in an industry that unfortunately doesn't promise longevity for actresses.

In an interview with The Week, Kareena Kapoor Khan was asked about the reason for doing five to six movies in a year in her first few years. The Laal Singh Chaddha star candidly admitted that when she started out, she had the need and greed to be in every film. Bebo revealed that, in the past, actors would often work on multiple films simultaneously. However, as she turned 35, her need to be everywhere began to taper off. The actress decided to sign up only for films she really wanted to do. She gave her marriage with Saif Ali Khan more time and decided to have children too. In this phase of her career, Kareena is content to do just two films a year and take a holiday every two months.

In the same interview, Kareena Kapoor Khan also agreed that, as an actress, having this longevity in the film industry is a rarity. The Jab We Met star doesn't feel less than her male counterparts. The actress also objects to the term 'comeback' being used to describe actresses. Kareena stated that male stars aren't associated with the term 'comeback'; why is it applicable to female stars? Kareena stated that she is married and has two children, and a lot of male stars also have children in the film industry.
