It's always fascinating to know a journalist's point of view while taking a celebrity interview. One such popular journalist was Rajeev Masand. Before he became Dharma Cornerstone's COO, Masand was one of the top Indian film journalists who had interacted with many top stars, including Rekha. Rajeev spoke to the Silsila actress several times. However, once, she requested that he scrape the entire interview.

During an interview with the Shaardulogy YouTube channel, Rajeev Masand revealed that sometime back, he did an interview with Rekha Ji. Upon completion of the interview, the veteran actress told him that she didn't want to do it anymore and requested to scrap it. The former journalist stated that the Krrish actress rarely gives interviews, but she did a few with him. The interview is still lying around, and she told him they would do it again.

Further, Rajeev Masand defended Rekha's request to scrap their interview. He stated that these people are looking for perfection and excellence. The Umrao Jaan actress is someone who rarely comes out to give interviews. Masand stated, "If you are not liking the way you are looking or sounding, I understand you want to be in control. They are all in the pursuit of perfection."

In the same interview, Rajeev revealed that when Shahid Kapoor did one of his first interviews in 2003, during the release of Ishq Vishk, the actor asked if they could record again. After they were done with their interview, the Haider star asked if he could watch it. Kapoor told Masand that he didn't like how he was sounding, and they shot the interview again.

Meanwhile, after a long time, Rekha was spotted in public at Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's wedding reception in Mumbai. Last week, the actress also attended Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding ceremony. Her pictures and videos with Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have gone viral on the internet.

On the work front, Rekha last appeared in the movie Super Nani, which was released in 2014. The actress made a special appearance in two movies after that: Shamitabh (2015) and Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se (2018). It has been six years since the audience saw her on screen.
