Rep. Jim Jordan On Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle’s Testimony: ‘Refused To Answer Any Of Our Questions’
Ohio Republican Congressman and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to shares his reaction to what Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle said during an appearance before the House Oversight Committee on Monday.
“We’ve learned now that the President Trump detail did ask for additional resources multiple times. They initially said, oh, no, no. I think the term was ‘absolutely false’, the Secret Service spokesman said and Mayorkas said unequivocally false. And then five days later said, well, actually, there were times when we turned down what they asked for, so they changed 180 degrees, in fact. So there’s questions about the before, why was there a finite number of buildings? Why wasn’t line of sight on the rooftop? Why weren’t all those secured? And then there’s the questions about during and she has to know some of the answers. But the during was, 6:09 that the shooter’s identified. 6:10 the counter sniper unit is noticed about the shooter. 6:11 the shooter hits President Trump and others. 6:12 the shooter is taken out by the counter sniper units. 6:14 President Trump is escorted off the stage by the Secret Service. So that’s a critical five minutes. We’d like to know sort of second by second what was going on there. And she just won’t give us any detail about that either.”
