Kartik Aaryan returns to comedy genre

Actor Kartik Aaryan has finally given a nod to the sequel of Pati Patni Aur Woh the 2019 blockbuster film that managed to win millions of hearts with its storyline. Well, a source close to the project told Bollywood Hungama that the script for the sequel has already been locked and Kartik is excited to reprise his role. Kartik loved the script of Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 and the makers are currently looking at who will play the part of Woh in the film. Well, Kartik has a tight schedule and has several films lined up. The makers have secured his dates. Currently, Kartik is shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and once he wraps the shoot, PPAW2 will go on floors.

Who can play the role of Woh in PPAW 2?

Well, in the earlier film, actress Ananya Panday played the role of Woh. She shared an amazing on-screen chemistry with Kartik. In the sequel, makers can rope in Kriti Sanon, Kiara Advani, Sara Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, Alia Bhatt and more actresses who can play the part.

Well, Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 is backed by Bhushan Kumar and Juno Chopra. The film will be helmed by Mudassar Aziz. Talking about the box office collections of the earlier films, Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri's film Bad Newz crossed Rs. 50 crore mark, while Prabhas-Deepika Padukone's film's total box office collection is Rs 618.85 crore as per trade portal Sacnilk.

On the work front, Kartik has been part of hit films including Pyaar Ka Punchnama 1 and 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Pati Patni Aur Woh, Luka Chuppi, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, and Triptii Dimri. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the movie will hit theatres during Diwali 2024.
