Paul Mauro On Kimberly Cheatle’s Disastrous Congressional Testimony: ‘I Think She Perjured Herself’
Retired NYPD inspector Paul Mauro joins Fox Across America With Jimmy Failla to give his take on why it took so long for U.S. Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to submit her resignation.
“Let’s just go through the timeline. Let’s just talk about this on air. Saturday, she’s in Aspen. This is a national security designated event. There’s only a few of those a year. Right? And this one only comes up every four years. Now, who designates them? Her boss, Mayorkas. That’s get them out as soon as she’s in, Aspen on Saturday. I’d like to know a couple of things. How many people did you bring with you? She’s there on our time. In our time? You know what kind of a hotel room did you get? And they probably flew first class, etc.. All right, now, she’s scheduled to speak at the Aspen Security conference Wednesday. Okay. That’s the middle of the RNC. National security designated. She’s there Sunday. Now, she gets up in front of Congress yesterday and near the end of the hearing, where I think a lot of people have already gotten bored and tuned out, she said in answer to a question about this, oh, no, no, no, I was going to fly to Aspen and give the speech and come right back to the RNC. You were in Aspen on Saturday already. So I think that, you know, as the old saying goes, to cover up is worse than the crime in this case. I don’t think it is, but it’s still pretty bad. I think she perjured herself. You pull her in front of Congress and this continues to go on and it should. Just because she’s resigned doesn’t end it. Pull all her comms, pull her travel plans and see who approved this. You’re telling me that Mayorkas, who was the DHS head, who would have designated this as a national security event, then approved his head of the Secret Service to go M.I.A. for the same week?”
Paul also tells Jimmy about what he saw during a visit to the site of the assassination attempt against former President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. Listen to the podcast to hear what else they discussed!
