YEREVAN, July 24. /ARKA/. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova claimed that the EU's decision to allocate €10 million to Armenia from the European Peace Facility is motivated by a ‘geopolitical plot’.

We have repeatedly pointed out that the EU has lost its peaceful foundation and lacks the peaceful potential it once had. There was a time when the EU at least verbally aspired to a peaceful and stable environment, attempting to hold negotiations. Now it is obvious what decisions are being made and what documents are being signed. The EU has taken a course towards militarization and confrontation, serving the interests of the US and NATO rather than its own citizens, Zakharova said at a briefing.

Nothing good for the security and stability of the region will come from the principle of 'divide and conquer,' 'clash and provoke,' and the militarization of the South Caucasus, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry claimed.
