Armenian Polytechnic University Team Enters Top 3 in American Control Conference 2024 Unmanned Vehicle Competition

ArmInfo. The government is  committed to supporting initiatives that promote research,  innovation, and academic progress in the field of high technology.  This was stated by the Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia  Mkhitar Hayrapetyan during a visit to the National Polytechnic  University of Armenia (NPUA) on the occasion of the successful  participation of the Polytechnic student team in the unmanned vehicle  competition at the American Control Conference 2024, which was held  in Toronto.

Despite the difficulties, the team entered the top three, becoming  the bronze medalist of such a prestigious competition. Armenia  managed to win third place, competing with 39 teams from leading  universities in the world, of which only 11 managed to overcome the  first stage and continue the competition in Canada.  The student team  was formed at the Aerial Robotics Research and Development Center of  NPUA in cooperation with the Center for Scientific Innovation and  Education (CSIE).

The Minister expressed gratitude to the team for their dedication and  role in inspiring future generations of technologists and innovators  in Armenia.

The competition was organized by Quanser, a company specializing in  robotics and mechatronics, manufacturing laboratory equipment  optimized for the academic environment.
