ROC to construct new diocesan center in Yerevan

ArmInfo. The Russian Orthodox  Church (ROC) will build a new diocesan center in Yerevan. This was  announced by the temporary administrator of the Yerevan-Armenian  Diocese, Archbishop of Podolsk and Lyubertsy Aksiy during a visit to  the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Armenia.

As reported by the press service of Rossotrudnichestvo in Yerevan,  during a meeting with the management and staff of the Russian House,  the bishop of the Russian Orthodox Church answered the pressing  questions of preserving Christian traditions and values, both in the  Armenian and Russian worlds.

"We are now launching the process of building a new diocesan center.  The process is long, I hope everything will work out. Everything  depends on our synergy and efforts," the archbishop noted.

The high-ranking official of the Russian Orthodox Church paid special  attention to the problems of supporting youth and educating the  younger generation in the spirit of Christian values.

"In Russia, we are implementing an original and very interesting  project, "Question to the priest," through which we create a  connection with the new generation. Perhaps we will be able to  implement it here as well," he noted.

The meeting was attended by the leader of the public organization of  Russian compatriots "Path of Good" Alexander Berezovsky and the head  of the Russian community of Nagorno-Karabakh Alexander Bordov, who  presented the high-ranking guest with albums and photographs of the  first ancient Orthodox churches in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Archbishop Aksiy emphasized the importance of such events for the  development of intercultural and spiritual dialogue, noting that  Rossotrudnichestvo plays a crucial role in preserving the spiritual  foundations and historical traditions of the two peoples, as well as  in deepening interaction between the communities.
