Kangana Ranaut speaks for the first time in Parliament

She took to Instagram and shared a video of her from the parliament. She was seen speaking there about Himachali art and culture. In the video, we see Kangana Ranaut starting by thanking the honourable speaker for giving her an opportunity to express her thoughts. She was seen saying that there are various art forms in Mandi that are on the verge of becoming extinct.

She further spoke about the indigenous construction technique called kath-kuni and also shared that the skin of sheep is used to make various kinds of clothes, such as jackets, caps, shawls, sweaters but these are getting extinct. She added that all this is considered valuable in other countries but here in India, they are becoming extinct.

She also spoke about the folk music of Himachal Pradesh, especially the tribal music from Spiti, Kinnaur and Bharmour and the art forms there are getting extinct. She asked the Modi Government about what steps are being taken for this.

She shared the video and wrote, "Aaj Parliament mein Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) ke vishay mein baat rakhne ka pehla mauka mila (Today I got the first chance to talk about Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) in the Parliament)."
