Hero MotoCorp has introduced the 2024 edition of its popular Xtreme 160R 4V motorcycle at a starting price of Rs 1,38,500. This marks a slight increase over the previous model, justified by the inclusion of several enhancements. Unlike its predecessor, which was offered in three variants, the 2024 Xtreme 160R 4V is available exclusively in the top-spec Pro trim.

Design and Color Options

The 2024 model retains the core design of its predecessor but introduces a fresh color option called Kevlar Brown, blending copper and black tones with familiar graphics. This particular shade commands a premium of Rs 1,000 over the other color choices: Neon Shooting Star and Stealth Black, both priced at Rs 1,38,500.

Feature Upgrades

The 2024 Xtreme 160R 4V boasts a range of new features. The most notable additions include dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety, a drag race timer to satiate the thrill-seeker in every rider, and a panic brake alert system for added peace of mind.

Hero has also replaced the LCD instrument cluster with a brighter unit and incorporated a new LED tail lamp design, similar to the one found on the Mavrick 440.

To enhance rider and pillion comfort, the split seat setup has been replaced with a single-piece saddle.

Engine and Chassis

The heart of the motorcycle remains unchanged, with the 163.2cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine delivering 16.6 bhp and 14.6 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel through a five-speed gearbox.

The chassis, too, carries over from the previous model, featuring KYB USD front forks and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, while 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 100/80-R17 front and 130/70-R17 rear tires provide grip.

The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V finds itself competing against a strong field of rivals, including the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, and Yamaha FZS Fi V4.
