Barzakh star Sanam Saeed is in awe of Mirzapur season 3 star Shweta Tripathi's performance; would like to work with THESE Indian actors [Exclusive]

Barzakh star Sanam Saeed spoke to BollywoodLife and praised Shweta Tripathi's performance as Golu in Mirzapur Season 3. Read to know what she said.

Sanam Saeed is receiving tremendous appreciation for her newly released Pakistani drama, Barzakh. In India, the series is being streamed on Zee5. Directed by Asim Abbasi, the show also stars Fawad Khan, Khushhal Khan, Faiza Gillani, Eman Sulleman, Anika Zulfikar and others. The show has made a lot of Indian fans excited, as it also marks the reunion of actors Sanam and Fawad after Zindagi Gulzar Hai. ZGH, released in 2012, was one of the few Pakistani shows that used to air in India and was immensely loved by the viewers.

BollywoodLife spoke to Sanam Saeed about her show and which Indian actors she would like to work with, if given a chance. The Zindagi Gulzar Hai star said that she would like to work with actors like Tabu, Jaideep Ahlawat, Vijay Varma and Shweta Tripathi. According to Sanam, these are the actors who do the work we categorise as art films. "The ones who are doing different kinds of genre films. But they are not just your commercial films. They're slightly offbeat, they're slightly more realistic," Sanam told us.

Further, the Barzakh star praised the cast of Mirzapur and expressed her admiration for Shweta Tripathi's performance as Golu. Sanam Saeed stated, "I am really in awe of their talent and their craft. They've all done a fantastic job. I've seen the kind of emotions they're trying to emote. I believe that. It's really hard to play some of the roles that they are playing, like Shweta's role in Mirzapur, which is not easy. But from Season 1 to Season 3, she has really evolved as an actor and even her character. It was easier to play Golu in Season 1, but what she has done in Season 3 is really challenging. She has done a really good job. So I really appreciate that, and I would love to work with them."

Talking about Barzakh, the show has six episodes overall. Every new episode will stream on Zee5 every Friday. Coming to Mirzapur, the show released its first season in 2018 on Amazon Prime Video. Created by Karan Anshuman and Puneet Krishna, the Hindi crime show stars Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu, Rasika Dugal, Vijay Varma, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Isha Talwar, Harshita Gaur and others. The third season was released in June this year.
