Kia is set to introduce the all-new Carnival MPV to the Indian market by October this year. Initially brought in as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), the model is expected to command a premium price tag due to import duties. Estimates suggest a starting price between Rs. 50 lakh and Rs. 60 lakh (ex-showroom).

Design Evolution

The Carnival embodies Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy with a bold and modern exterior. Key highlights include a wider grille, L-shaped headlights, and a refreshed rear profile featuring connected LED taillights. While the side profile remains largely unchanged, new alloy wheel designs add a contemporary touch.

Interior Uplift

Inside, the Carnival receives a significant upgrade with a dual 12.3-inch display setup, redesigned climate and audio controls, and a host of advanced features. The list includes a head-up display, a digital rear-view mirror, and advanced driver assistance systems. While the global model offers multiple seating configurations, details about India-specific options are awaited.

Powertrain Options

Under the hood, the Carnival is likely to retain the tried-and-tested 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This combination delivers 201 hp and 440 Nm of torque.

With its combination of luxury, space, and advanced technology, the Kia Carnival is poised to redefine the premium MPV segment in India.
