AC Milan’s pursuit of Fofana has hit another stumbling block.

AS Monaco has rejected the Rossoneri’s second bid for the midfielder, reportedly valued at €17 million including bonuses.

According to Calciomercato.com, Daniele Longo revealed that the Ligue 1 club is holding firm on their valuation of the player, whose contract runs until 2025.

“Monaco are not satisfied with Milan’s offer,” Longo reported.

Meanwhile, competition for Fofana’s signature is intensifying from other Premier League quarters.

West Ham United have entered the fray, tabling an offer nearly double that of Milan’s.

AC Milan will need to reassess their strategy if they hope to secure Fofana’s services before the transfer window closes.
