Today, on July 29th, Sanjay Dutt turned 65. The actor made his debut in the film industry in 1981 with the movie Rocky. Since then, Dutt has worked in many Hindi movies, and over the past few years, he has been signing up for several big South Indian movies too. In his career of over three decades, Sanjay made a place for himself in the audience's hearts with movies like Vaastav, Kaante, Munna Bhai MBBS, Khal Nayak, Agneepath, and many more. In an interview, the actor talks about his life, and his special birthday memory with his late mother and actress, Nargis Dutt.

Sanjay Dutt is from a filmy family; his parents, Sunil Dutt and Nargis, were actors. So growing up, Dutt celebrated his birthday amidst the glitz and glamour. The KGF 2 star told Mid Day that he has turned another year older, but the enthusiasm remains the same, and he's grateful for the love and support that surrounds him. This year, he's keeping his birthday simple and will spend a quiet evening with his family to reminisce about his journey. The actor also plans to spend some quality time with his fans through social media.
In the same interview, Lage Raho Munna Bhai revealed that food has been an important part of his life. He recalled how his mom would make rogan josh and shami kebab on his birthday. The actor calls those flavours his comfort food. The Agneepath star goes on to talk about a chicken dish named after him, 'Chicken Sanju Baba'. The dish is available at the Noor Mohammadi Hotel on Mumbai's Mohammed Ali Road. Sanjay Dutt said that it's flattering that a dish is named after him. However, he gives the entire credit to the chefs who created it. Dutt mentioned how the food scenes in Mumbai are vibrant, and being a part of them feels like an honour to him.
For his movies, Sanjay Dutt has undergone immense physical transformation in the past few years. The actor also posts pictures and videos of himself working out on his Instagram page. When asked about the diet he follows, the Kaante actor revealed that it includes lots of fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins. However, there are days when a tempting plate of butter chicken is irresistible to him. Dutt has tried various kinds of diets over the years, but nothing too strict. He eats in moderation, listens to his body, and regularly exercises.

On the work front, Sanjay Dutt will be next seen in the Telugu film Double iSmart. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film also stars Ram Pothineni and Kavya Thapar. It is a spiritual sequel to iSmart Shankar, and it will hit theaters on August 15, 2024.
