After Farah Khan and Karan Johar shared their thoughts, actor Samir Soni shared his reaction to both directors' statements. In an interview with Ujjwal Trivedi, the Vivah actor slammed Khan and Johar, saying if they think the expenses are rising, it's because they're signing the big stars. Samir said that filmmakers can't be signing a big star for Rs 100 crore and complain they take a lot of money. There are some shortcomings in them, too. Soni mentioned that some actors are willing to work for as little as Rs 1 crore or 50 lakhs.

Earlier, in an interview with Faye D'Souza, the director of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani expressed concern about inflation in the film industry, stating that some actors are demanding salaries equivalent to the sun, moon, and earth. Karan shared that actors who were given an opening of 3.5 crore are asking to be paid 35 crore. On the other hand, Farah Khan said that the entourage cost has gone way too high. One actress will bring a team of nine people together, or an actor will get eight of them. It's a waste of resources. The Om Shanti Om director stated that this cost isn't seen in the film. But that needs to be controlled a bit as it weighs down on the producers.

Singham director Rohit Shetty had a different point of view. In an interview with Zoom, Shetty stated that it's the production houses only that started giving them entourages. Rohit said that just because a few movies haven't worked, they can't expect the entourage to become less. That won't happen.
