MFA Cyprus shared the details of Mirzoyan-Kobos meeting

ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan paid a working visit to Cyprus today at the invitation of Foreign Minister Constantinos Kobos.

As reported by the press service of the Cypriot Foreign Ministry, as part of the working visit, the FM-s held a tete-a-tete meeting, continued with an expanded composition. The discussions focused on bilateral relations between Cyprus and Armenia and their further strengthening, while the two officials expressed satisfaction with the imminent opening of diplomatic missions in Yerevan and Nicosia.

Kombos also briefed his counterpart on the latest developments as regards the Cyprus issue, expressing gratitude to the Republic of Armenia for the principled position. In addition, the two ministers exchanged views on the EU-Armenia relations, the situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan and a number of other issues related to regional and international developments. Following the consultations, both ministers made statements to the media.

As part of his visit, Mirzoyan will be received by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, this afternoon. In the morning, he attended and addressed the annual meeting of the heads of diplomatic missions of the Republic of Cyprus.
