Arjun Rampal addresses why his first marriage with Mehr Jesia failed, 'It's a proven fact that we are idiots'

Arjun Rampal opens up on his failed marriage with Mehr Jesia and the reasons he believes things didn't work out between the two.

Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia got married in 1998 and were separated in 2019. The duo has two daughters together - Mahikaa and Myra. Currently, Arjun has been dating Gabriella Demetriades for a few years. In a new interview, the Ra One actor got candid about his relationships and failed marriage. The Rock On actor believes that he got married too early to Mehr and says that men mature slower than women.

On the Ranveer Show, Arjun Rampal said that he had come from a broken home when he was young, and for him, not succeeding in marriage was something he really had to look back upon to understand where it went wrong and why he didn't see it coming. He realised why it went wrong and identified the issues, taking responsibility for them. The Don actor mentioned that today they are all very close and loving towards each other.

Arjun got married when he was 24, which he thinks is too early, as he believes one is too young and there is a lot to learn and experience. Rampal added that men mature far slower than women, stating that it is a proven fact that men are idiots. He advised that if someone wants to be successful in marriage, they should wait it out.

On the same podcast, Arjun Rampal said that he feels he is already married to his girlfriend, Gabriella Demetriades. The Housefull actor believes that marriage is just a piece of paper. In his mind, he is already married to his lady love. However, that piece of paper can change a person, as they're legally bound to each other. It could change two people's attitudes towards each other. Arjun also talked about the two beautiful boys he has with Gabriella. The actor said that his ex-wife, his daughters, and his girlfriend get along really well.

Arjun Rampal last appeared in the film Crakk, which also starred Vidyut Jammwal and Nora Fatehi. The film was released this year and failed at the box office. The actor will next appear in the movies The Battle of Bhima Koregaon, Nastik, 3 Monkeys, and Dhurandhar.
