MFA of Armenia congratulates Switzerland on Swiss national holiday

ArmInfo. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia congratulates the government and people of Switzerland on the occasion of its national holiday. This is stated in a message from the Foreign Ministry of Armenia on its X account.  "Armenia values its relations with Switzerland, built on shared values and trust, and looks forward to strengthening cooperation in all areas of mutual interest," the message from the MFA of Armenia reads. 

It should be noted that since 1891, the anniversary of the founding of the state is celebrated throughout Switzerland on August 1. According to legend, it was on the first day of August that the sacred oath of the three Urkantons - Schwyz, Uri and Unterwalden - was taken, in which each promised to come to the aid of the others in the fight against external enemies. This laid the foundation for the Swiss Confederation.
