Tata Motors has achieved a significant milestone with its Punch sub-compact SUV, crossing the 4 lakh sales mark in just 34 months since its launch in October 2021. This makes the Punch the fastest SUV to reach this milestone in India.

The Punch has been a key driver of Tata Motors’ growth, capturing a dominant 68% market share in the sub-compact SUV segment in FY24. Its success can be attributed to a combination of factors including bold design, high ground clearance, advanced features, and a strong focus on safety. The Punch was the first in its segment to achieve a 5-star Global NCAP rating and has consistently ranked among the top-selling cars in India.

The introduction of the Punch CNG and Punch EV variants further expanded the model’s appeal, catering to a wider range of customer preferences. The CNG version, equipped with Tata Motors’ innovative twin-cylinder technology, has contributed significantly to the Punch’s overall sales. The electric Punch.ev has also been well-received, helping to drive EV adoption in the country.

With a 17.7% market share in the compact SUV segment and a 27% year-on-year sales growth in FY24, the Tata Punch continues to be a strong performer for Tata Motors.
