Pashinyan visits the local history museum in Dilijan

ArmInfo. As part of his trip to the Tavush region of Armenia, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the local history museum in Dilijan on August 2nd.  After examining the museum's exposition, Pashinyan exressed his amazement to museum employees. He mentioned that, despite passing by the building of the cultural institution many times, he had never imagine the presence of such a serious collection of works by artists, including Aivazovsky's painting "Christ and His Disciples". The Prime Minister called for more active promotion of the museum's heritage through organizing mobile exhibitions, considering the low attendance of the cultural institution. "Only 4 thousand people a year is very little. You receive 32 million drams from the budget every year, so the question arises about the appropriateness of this amount. Hold exhibitions among local residents, not just for tourists. A permanent exhibition is like furniture. You need to breathe life into the museum," the head of the Cabinet emphasized.

He also called for regular updates to the exhibition to prevent the museum becoming a warehouse.  It should be noted that Pashinyan also visited Dilijan kindergarten #5, where major renovations are underway. The total cost of the renovation carried out within the framework of the subsidy program is 91 million drams, with 61 million drams allocated by the government. The major repairs are expected to be completed by December.

The Prime Minister also inspected  the progress of the  water supply system construction in the Teghut settlement of the Dilijan community. He was informed that many houses in the community did not have water supply systems at all. The total cost of the project under the subsidy program is 288 million drams, with 187 million drams provided by the government. The project will be completed in the fall.
