Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: Big new change for contestants of Amitabh Bachchan's show, check exciting deets

Kaun Banega Crorepati is one of the oldest and longest reality shows on Indian television. Amitabh Bachchan is the host of the game/quiz show. Contestants on the show have to answer questions related to different topics: current news, entertainment, sports, geography, history, and other such topics. With every right answer, the contestant gets a winning amount until they give a wrong answer. To make the game easy, there are several lifelines the contestants can use when they are confused about a particular question.

For so many years, the lifelines have made it easy for Kaun Banega Crorepati contestants to win a good amount. However, the new season has something exciting planned for everyone. According to the Hindustan Times, Amitabh Bachchan's show's contestants will have the opportunity to win double the prize money through a special segment or question in Kaun Banega Croreparti 16.

The report mentions that after question 5, there is a bonus question called the 'Super Sawaal' section. There are no choices or lifelines available to the players in this question. With the right response, they will be granted access to the 'dugaanastra' power. With this power, they can press a buzzer to win twice as much money. Between questions 6 and 10, they are limited to using this power.

The portal shared an example of how a contestant who chooses this superstar at question 9 will earn double the amount of Rs 1,60,000. This is the amount set for the 9th question on KBC. However, the only main condition is that whoever is on the hot seat won't be allowed to use any lifelines. So if they give the wrong answer, they won't get the double amount.

Kaun Banega Crorepati will air on Sony on August 12, 2024. Big B has been hosting the game show since 2000. Only in 2007, Shah Rukh Khan hosted KBC Season 7, as Amitabh had declined the offer to return to hosting it.
