Odysse Electric Vehicles has announced a strategic partnership with battery-swapping solutions provider SUN Mobility to expand the reach of its flagship electric motorcycle, Vader SM, into international markets. The collaboration aims to revolutionize the global two-wheeler electric mobility landscape by introducing advanced battery-swapping technology.

Under the partnership, Odysse Electric will deploy its Vader SM electric motorcycle, powered by SUN Mobility’s swappable batteries, in key markets across Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. The Vader SM, equipped with two AIS-156 approved Smart Batteries, offers a range of 130 kilometers per swap and a top speed of 80 kmph. The motorcycle boasts advanced features including multiple riding modes, hill assist, and energy regeneration.

SUN Mobility’s battery swapping network will provide convenient and efficient battery replacement options for riders, addressing range anxiety and charging time concerns. The companies will adopt a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model for this initiative.

The Vader SM will be manufactured at Odysse Electric’s facility in Ahmedabad, India.
