YEREVAN, 5 August. /ARKA/. Educational programs developed for Diaspora Armenian schools should be maximally synchronised with the content of subjects in Armenia, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Artur Martirosyan said.

We don't expect this synchronisation to be one hundred percent. But if someone decides to repatriate to Armenia, their children will be able to integrate into the local education system much easier. If they stay abroad, the content of subjects will be the same as if they lived in Armenia, Martirosyan said on the sidelines of the 11th Armenia-Diaspora Education Conference taking place in Yerevan.

He also noted that Armenia follows the world tendencies of formalisation of education in the spheres where people often receive non-formal education.

The Deputy Minister noted that within the framework of the conference solutions tonbsp;the existing problems will be worked out. He admitted that in the future state funding may be allocated for the implementation of these measures.

Martirosyan added that this process depends on the legislation of foreign countries, and it is not excluded that in some places educational projects can be implemented through the Armenian Church.

In her turn, Head of the Language Committee of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Siranush Dvoyan noted that there is also a language problem, as it is necessary to organise education in Eastern Armenian for people who speak Western Armenian. -0-
