ArmInfo. According to the results of the poll "Speak, Don't Speak" conducted by the consulting company MPG, nearly half (49.9%) of respondents in Yerevan support the resignation of the city's mayor Tigran Avinyan.

Of the respondents, 32.6% were in favor of Avinyan's immediate resignation, 17.3%  believed he should leave, 18.2%  thought he should stay and 11.4% were definite  he should remain in office. It is also worthy noting that 20.5% found it difficult to provide an answer.

According to the survey results, citizens are dissatisfied with the work of the mayor of Yerevan and the heads of the capital's administrative districts.

When asked to rate the work of the mayor and the district heads on a 5-point scale, where 5 is excellent and 1 is bad, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan received the lowest score of 2.6 points. The head of the Central district scored slightly better - 2.7 points. The heads of Kanaker-Zeytun and Shengavit received the highest scores, while the other district heads scored between 3.2 and 3.7 points.  The situation does not improve when assessing the activities of the Council of Elders factions. The ruling "Civil Contract" faction has the highest score - 2.4 points, while the "Mother Armenia" and "Public Voice" factions have the lowest score of 2.2 points each. The "Republic" and "National Progress" factions received 2.3 points each.  It is noteworthy that despite the Armenian authorities' claim that corruption in the country has been largely eradicated, almost half of the city residents believe there are high corruption risks in both the mayor's office and administrative districts.

27.3% of respondents are certain of the high corruption risks in the capital's municipalities, while 19.8% believe the risks are rather high, 17% think they are rather low, 13.1%  see  rather no such risks, and 22.8% of respondents found it difficult to answer.

It should be noted that the survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of Yerevan from July 30 to August 2 of the current year.

The sample size was 808 people with a sampling error of  3.5%.
