Armenia's industrial output grows by 18.2% in H1 2024

YEREVAN, August 7. /ARKA/. The volume of industrial production in Armenia amounted to 1,408,107.2 million drams in January-June 2024, marking an 18.2% increase compared to the same period in 2023, Armenia’s National Statistical Committee reported on Wednesday./pp
In June alone, the volume of industrial production was 225,124.5 million drams, reflecting a 1.4% growth compared to June 2023 but a 2.4% decrease compared to May 2024./pp
The volume of production in the mining industry and quarrying sector for the first six months of this year amounted to 219,875.9 million drams, showing a 9.2% decrease compared to the same period in 2023. In the manufacturing industry, production volume reached 1,000,827.2 million drams, an increase of 27.7%./pp
The electricity, gas, and steam sector recorded a volume of 172,469.8 million drams, a 13% rise, while the water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities sector amounted to 14,934.3 million drams, a growth of 5.3%./p br br
