Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin actor Shakti Arora opened up about how people still call him Ishaan Sir. The actor also spoke about the regressive content on TV.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is one of the most talked about TV serials. The show has been loved ever since it began and has been amongst the top five TV shows on the TRP charts. Recently, the show took a leap and we saw the entire story changing. Ishaan was dead and Savi had to move on alone just after their marriage. Shakti Arora and Bhavika Sharma's chemistry won hearts but soon the former quit the show. Later, Hitesh Bharadwaj entered the show as the new male lead. He impressed everyone with his performance and some even accepted him as the new lead opposite Bhavika.

Shakti Arora talks about the regressive content on TV

The new story of Savi and Rajat also grabbed attention. However, there are many who still miss Shakti Arora as Ishaan Bhosale. Shakti recently spoke to Faheem Bhatt in his podcast about the crazy fan encounters. He shared that earlier they were all in limelight but now fame is short-lived and very easily one gets famous. But he believes that the ones who have slowly moved ahead are the 'lambi race ke ghode'.

He was further asked about how was it before and did people stop him and ask why is the story like that in the show. Shakti said that such things happen even today. He recalled an incident when he was in Worli and a beggar on the street started calling him Ishaan sir.

Shakti was shocked as where did TV come from for the beggar and where did the person see him as Ishaan Bhosale. Shakti said that the reach of TV is huge and he thought that it was seen in the earlier days but even today, TV is popular.

He further said that he finds TV shows more interesting than the movies that are coming these days. He further spoke about the regressive content shown and said that he does believe that it is enough of 'saas-bahu' drama and things should change and something different must be shown.

But, Shakti shared that whenever should change has been tried public do not accept it. He said that TRPs fall whenever something different is tried and people easily accept the change shown. Hence, the makers decide to show what the audience wants to see. Shakti believes this is the issue TV industry is facing as they are not able to grow with a fast pace.
