Kaveri Priyam is seen as Aashka in Bhavika Sharma starrer Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. However, she was not the first choice for this role.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has grabbed attention ever since the show took a leap. Shakti Arora and Bhavika Sharma played the leads before the leap. Their chemistry was loved and Ishaan-Savi became the most loved couple of telly town. People wanted to see more of Ishaan and Savi moments but they could not as the show took a leap and Ishaan died. Shakti quit the show leaving fans disheartened. People trolled her makers and could not accept the new change for some time. Hitesh Bharadwaj entered the show as the new male lead opposite Bhavika. He plays the role of Rajat and soon, fans did start loving Rajat and Savi's new story.

Some even criticised the new story of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin as it looked similar to Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya's Yeh Hai Mohabbatein where Savi is close to Rajat's daughter, Saisha aka Sai and the love story starts with hate. Savi and Sai are like real mother-daughter duo and we see Rajat's ex-wife and Sai's biological mother, Aashka entering their life again.

Kaveri Priyam was not the first choice for Aashka?

Aashka left Rajat for a rich man but returned to create more issues for Rajat. Aashka is a great shade character and Kaveri Priyam has been appreciated for her performance. However, as per reports, Kaveri Priyam was not the first choice for Aashka. As per reports in Times Now, the role of Aashka was first offered to Shivangi Verma.

She was almost finalised for the role and was also asked to make changes in her look especially her hair colour for the role. However, at the last minute things did not work out and the makers decided to go ahead with Kaveri Priyam.
