MEDIA: India to begin shipping Akash-1S air defense missile system to Armenia

ArmInfo. India is set  to commence the delivery of Akash-1S air defense missile system to  Armenia later this year. This was reported by Indian Defence Research  Wing.

 It is noted that this step will be a significant milestone for  the country's defense exports, as Armenia becomes the first  international customer for the advanced missile systems.  The source  notes that Armenia has placed an order for 15 Akash missile systems  in 2022, which is a substantial deal worth approximately US $720  million.

The acquisition of this defense system is expected to  significantly bolster Armenia's military capabilities and strengthen  its defense posture.
