Proposal to discontinue certain US tubular prices

The proposal to discontinue has been brought on by limited market liquidity and data collected by Fastmarkets which indicate these prices are not key benchmarks.

The specifications for the prices in question are:

MB-STE-0561 Steel ERW line pipe (X65), fob mill US, $/short ton
Quality: API 5L. 20-inch and greater outside diameter
Quantity: Min 250 tons
Location: FOB US mill
Unit: USD per short ton
Publication: Monthly, second Wednesday of the month
Notes: Raw material surcharges included.

MB-STE-0873 Steel ERW line pipe (X70), fob mill US, $/short ton
Quality: API 5L. 20 inch and greater outside diameter
Quantity: Min 250 tons
Location: FOB US mill
Unit: USD per short ton
Publication: Monthly, second Wednesday of the month
Notes: Raw material surcharges included.

MB-STE-0852 Steel welded LSAW line pipe API 5L X65 US $/tonne
Quality: Line pipe in a diameter range of 20-60” OD (non-sour)
Quantity: Min 250 tonnes
Location: FOB US mill
Timing: 8-12 weeks
Unit: USD per tonne 
Publication: Monthly, last Friday of the month.

MB-STE-0853 Steel welded HSAW line pipe API 5L X65 US $/tonne
Quality: Line pipe in a diameter range of 20-60” OD
Quantity: Min 250 tonnes
Location: FOB US mill
Timing: 8-12 weeks
Unit: USD per tonne
Publication: Monthly, last Friday of the month.

MB-STE-0022 Steel ERW standard pipe A53 Grade A, fob mill US, $/short ton
Quality: A53 grade A. 3.5-inch outside diameter x .216 wall thickness
Quantity: Min 100 tons
Location: FOB US mill
Unit: USD per short ton
Publication: Monthly, second Wednesday of the month

MB-STE-0056 Steel ERW standard pipe A53 Grade A import, cif Houston, $/short ton
Quality: A53 grade A. 3.5-inch outside diameter x .216 wall thickness
Quantity: Min 100 tons
Location: CIF Port of Houston
Unit: USD per short ton
Publication: Monthly, second Wednesday of the month
Notes: Raw materials surcharges included.

These prices are a part of the Fastmarkets steel physical package.

The consultation period for this proposal will begin on Friday August 9 and end on Friday September 6, with changes taking place, subject to market feedback, from September 10. 

All short-term forecasts associated with these prices produced by the Fastmarkets research team, if any, will also be discontinued.
