Amitabh Bachchan wishes for 'love and laughter' on Raksha Bandhan, amidst rumoured tension between Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Despite his busy life, he always finds time to connect with his fans and acknowledge special occasions. Today, on Raksha Bandhan, Big B took to social media platform 'X' (formerly Twitter) to extend his heartfelt wishes to everyone, spreading love and happiness.

Along with his Raksha Bandhan tweet, Amitabh Bachchan shared a video featuring a Rakhi and the greeting "Happy Raksha Bandhan" written in Hindi. The video message reads, "May this special day bring love, laughter, and togetherness to all." The tweet reads, "T 5108 Happy Raksha Bandhan to all may this auspicious bond between brothers and sisters remain eternal .. love .. happiness."

Amitabh Bachchan's wishes come amidst growing speculation about his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Rumours of a possible separation began circulating in July, when Abhishek and Aishwarya attended Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding separately in Mumbai. Abhishek Bachchan attended the wedding with his parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, and his sister, Shweta Bachchan, along with her children, Agastya Nanda and Navya Nanda. They posed together for photos as a group. However, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan arrived with her daughter, Aradhya Bachchan, and posed separately. Abhishek neither posed with Aishwarya for photos together, nor did he take any pictures with Aradhya. This led to netizens speculating about potential issues between the couple.

The rumours of tension between Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan intensified when Abhishek liked a post about divorce on Instagram, leading fans to speculate about their possible separation. This is not the first time such rumours have surfaced, but, as before, the couple has not provided any clarification. After the wedding, Aishwarya and their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, travelled to New York for a vacation. Upon returning to Mumbai from their New York vacation, Aishwarya and Aaradhya were seen all smiles at the airport. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan attended the Paris Olympic 2024 Games, where he congratulated Neeraj Chopra on winning a silver medal in the men's javelin throw.
